In response to member concerns of a shortage of newly trained tradespeople entering the industry, ASSDA has taken the initiative to develop a brochure aimed at encouraging young people to pursue a career in stainless steel.
Developed in collaboration with ASSDA's Queensland and Victorian Chapters, the brochure will be distributed to metal work teachers and careers officers in high schools and other institutions. The distribution effort will be undertaken in conjunction with third parties such as North Melbourne Institute of Technology.
The brochure clearly explains the stainless steel industry and the various employment and training options available for school leavers.
To get involved in the employment training program or to receive a copy of the brochure phone ASSDA on 07 3220 0722.
