Furphy Engineering has a history in tank and metal manufacturing dating back to 1864 and enjoys a reputation as one of Australia's premier tank and vessel suppliers. Furphy Engineering are ISO 9001:2008 LQRA accredited.
Furphy Engineering service a diverse range of industries such as food, dairy, brewing, chemical, petroleum, oil & gas and water, many of which have varying acceptance criteria for surface finish, code requirements and operating conditions that require careful consideration during the design and fabrication phases of the project.
Design and fabrication of tanks and pressure vessels in can be undertaken to a number of codes such as AS1692, AS1210, ASME VIII, API-650 and API-620 as well as client specific requirements and specifications.
Members of the design and drafting team at Furphy Engineering utilise a number of software programs for design and detailing of tanks and vessels, including PV Elite design software for pressure vessels, nozzle and agitator loading and support system design, Strand 7 FEA (finite element analysis), 2D and 3D CAD drafting software for detailed drawings.
Additional to the stainless steel workshop, Furphy Engineering have a carbon steel workshop, CNC Laser and Plasma cutting shop and a Hot Dip Galvanizing plant on-site to compliment and aid in providing our customers with a complete engineering solution. |
