Webinar Outline
Most stainless steel is supplied with a bright metallic finish and its corrosion resistant nanolayer on top. The appearance will depend on whether it was straight from a hot rolling or casting plant or profiling rollers or had been chemically treated or abrasive blasted or polished (wet or dry) with various abrasive grit sizes or maybe roll formed or profiled for tactile surfaces or machined … the list goes on.
And then you have consideration of visual changes or corrosion resistance improvement from various chemical or electrochemical treatments and the effects of those treatments on cleanability and/or hygiene.
And that is just the raw metal. There are multiple colouring treatments and even paints to provide contrast or just glamour.
This webinar will look at the effects of various treatments on the mechanical, visual and chemical resistance properties - and this includes normal atmospheric and immersion properties. It will concentrate on the 3 major families, i.e. the austenitic, ferritic and duplex alloys. If potential attendees have specific questions and communicate them by 30 August, they will be considered.
This summary outlines the critical aspects and key topics that will be covered in the webinar.
